Look at the picture and look at the front fender.

Northendfixie 07-25-08 08:29 PM

That's priceless. I guess you get what you pay for...

"Key Specs:
Bike Gender:Men's"

Does he have a name?

urban_assault 07-25-08 09:03 PM

I wonder if they will post my review.

2manybikes 07-25-08 09:20 PM

I have seen other dept. store bikes with the front fender on backwards too.

croscoe 07-25-08 09:48 PM

At least the fork wasn't backwards (which I have seen before...savages!).

Pig_Chaser 07-25-08 09:50 PM

It's supposed to be like that to remove road debris. :p

eAspenwood 07-26-08 12:11 AM

doesn't the back fender seem a little odd too? maybe thats the way it was designed, but it doesn't seem like it would protect the rider from gettin a water on his back.

hxzero 07-26-08 01:15 AM

The back fender is just for funsies.

JosephPaul86 07-26-08 01:22 AM

Are you telling me I've been riding with a back wards fender for all of this time!!! Joking. I saw a wally world bike with the handlebars put on wrong, and one with the suspension forks on backwards.

77midget 07-26-08 07:44 AM

Sports Authority-where quality is job #2.....sometimes #3.

Takabrash 07-26-08 08:21 AM

I love that that is the MANUFACTUERER'S picture. That's the "nice" photo that is supposed to make you want to buy the bike...

Sports Authority indeed! pfft....

shubonker 07-26-08 07:51 PM

Its an otherwise nifty looking bike though, i like the color scheme.

ATAC49er 07-26-08 09:19 PM

OK, wiseguys....

The fender is installed abominably, but not backwards -- the flare is SUPPOSED to be towards the back; it's the "bobbed" fender styling. Shouldn't be touching the tire up front, obviously, but we're talking about a bike that's WM quality (in other words, zero quality!).

If you're 5'9", 165 lbs., average build/fitness/health, go for it...otherwise, point at it and shake your head in disdain.

The front fender is on backwards. The back is installed correctly. But useless.

Ok, which one is backwards or are you referring to the rear fender on the men's bike?

Enlarge the photo and look at the front fender again. It's the front, but you can't tell in the small photo.

I could tell, I was just asking ATAC49er what he was seeing.

It really is pretty obvious. All websites selling that bike are using the same pic. I just wanted to
show atac49er what was wrong but I thought he might have been referring to the rear fender.

maddyfish 07-27-08 06:31 AM

Better question is why on earth were you looking at this trashy bike in the first place.

MrCjolsen 07-27-08 07:07 AM

Unfortunately, it's not a brakeless fixed gear. No wonder people worry about doing an endo if you use your front brake. They probably had a bike like this.

slvoid could ride a stopie (front wheel brake wheelie) on that. :)
