3 speed Hub comparison

well I'm thinking about switching out my derailer setup with a three speed hub. I just wondering if anyone has had the chance to compare the new sturmey archer RF3 to the SRAM i motion 3. Is there really any difference at all in the efficiency? Any problems hooking it up to existing derailer cable? Thanks

I cannot speak of the reliability of the RF3 but if it's as good as the old AW it must be good. BUT, Sturmey-Archer parts can be difficult to have whereas pretty much everyone can have SRAM parts.

I have the i-3 on my folding bike and it's just a snap to adjust. IMO, the the i-motion is superior in terms of ease of use. I wonder how it compares to the Shimano on a bike with large wheels in terms of ease of shifting, because the torque on my folding is pretty intense.
