Pedal toe strap combos?
 

Is it possible to by pedal & toe strap combos? Reason I ask is because right now I just have the plain old pedals that came with my comfort bike. Now these are fine for the recreational ride. But now that I am starting the commuting thing, I find that my feet are moving all over the place on the pedals. Sometimes even slipping off.

I have some toes straps from my old bike, but the reflectors on my current pedals do not come off so I can install my old straps. So I want to purchase new pedals with the toes straps included. Is this possible?

Toe clips are comparitively inexpensive.

I'd just buy new pedals.

I've never used them but I'm thinking about giving them a shot on my winter bike this year to give me more footwear options.

Otherwise, I would just get a new set of pedals that are made to accept toe clips.

Oh, and for the record, I really like SPD clipless pedals used in combination with shoes that have a recessed cleat area. I rode with toe clips for years after everybody I knew had switched to clipless pedals. I RELUCTANTLY gave clipless a try after I bought my OCR 2 which came with clipless pedals stock. (In fact, I almost had the LFS swap out the pedals before I took the bike home.) Now I'm hooked. I'm interested in giving the power grips a try but I don't think I'll ever go back to traditional toe clips.

Powergrips - much, much safer than toe clips and straps if you're not ready to pay for clipless pedals asnd shoes yet.

yes, I bought a pair of bontrager mtb bike pedals that came with the toe strap from my lbs...

PowerGrips are the greatest invention since sliced bread and peanut butter.:thumb:

They might be compatible with your old pedals, or you can buy the PowerGrip pedals and straps as a package, or the pedals I currently like are Dimension PD1086.
