Meh to coffee where's the tea!

Actually its a good site; this guy Ohiobiker on cyclingforums made his own dashboard coffee cup holder.

I would worry about having a slurp, hitting a pothole and getting 3rd degree burns to the lips! :lol:

I recently got this thermos. It fits in a standard water bottle cage, you can flip open the top easily, and the seal is fantastic. I got it in the brown so road grime isn't so visible.

You can get it on the internet, but Whole Foods Market also carries it.

I'm a little confused... doesn't that big flip-top hit you in the face when you go to take a drink?

That's just great. Now I have to find a way to justify buying one more thermos.

Edit: By the way, does anyone else here roast their own coffee? I tried it myself and love it. To me, it's like the difference between AM & FM radio, black & white TV and color.

One of my favorite things about my pogies, before I switched to Moose Mitts, was that there was room for a Thermos in them.

There's nothing quite like taking a break, after you've been riding in the snow for an hour or two, and uncorking some hot, sweet tea or hot chocolate.

I personally just have a coffee machine at both ends of my commute. The office machine is a Keurig so making quality coffee is pretty much instant. If you've never tried a Keurig, you should look into it.

i have two. it fits in my water bottle cage or i can throw it in any pannier or trunk without worrying about spillage. i brew my coffee @ home, put it in my mug and can transport it on my 8 mile trip and have it still hot when i get in. :)

Ooh I like both of those thermos/cups. My coffee cup of the last year just gave up the ghost and I've been kind of betwixt and between since. I picked up another one which I can fit in my bottle cage. Generally I don't drink the coffee until I get to work so it's usually lukewarm at best by the time I get to it, so it took me a while before I drank hot coffee out of this new cup and found that when hot all I can taste is the plastic liner. Blech!!!

Tangentially, this latest cup was not a perfect fit for my cage but w/ a stainless steel cage can just bend the damn thing until the cup stays put.

ps-> I see that amazon deviously priced the silver version of Donna's >$25 (free shipping), and the other colors at like $24.50 (pay for shipping or buy at least $0.50 of something else!)

+1. Coffee before the ride is good. Coffee after the ride is good. And if during the ride I feel I need coffee I will stop at a coffee shop and drink a cup of coffee. But commuting WITH coffee is, in my oopinion, unnecessary and undesirable.

yep, i clean it regularly with hot water, vinegar and some q-tips (in addition to daily washing with hot water) to no ill effects yet. :)
