Looking for advice from bike commuters who take the New Jersey PATH trains

My commute requires that I cross the Hudson River from Manhattan to New Jersey (Exchange Place) so I take the PATH train. PATH prohibits bicycles between 6:30AM - 9:30AM and 3:30PM - 6:30PM. Rules are posted here.

I'd prefer to arrive at work at 9, and leave work at 6. I've heard from others that PATH allows folding bicycles at all times, although the website rules don't have any language referring to bicycles.

Anyone out there with RECENT, REAL WORLD experience commuting on the PATH train at rush hour? Are you able to get a bike on at 9AM or 6pm? How about a folding bike?

That's what I plan to do. Do you have actual experience doing this and if so what was the result?

Note that I am commuting via the World Trade Center PATH station and the Exchange Place station and at both sites they have no-kidding-around security - military guards as well as PATH police, random bag checks, etc. A very large bag will get inspected. The question then is, do the guards care enough to enforce the bike rule and if so do they enforce it on folding bikes or not?
