O2 rain gear
Has anyone tried O2 brand raingear? They have some that are really cheap and then some other stuff that is in the 60 to 70 dollar range. Just wondering how it might be for durability and they are supposedly waterproof breathable but the price of the cheaper stuff makes me wonder how long they might last. I'm more interested in the pants since I have a Burly jacket that has served me well so far.

My jacket would breathe only in area of the front zipper - when it was open!
Also would leak in heavy rain.
So there u go - all those 1000s of holes doesn't make it breathable.
My jacket was right size but still very tight in shoulders and armpits, which made it worse comfort-wise.
I'll be surprised if you can find rainpants where you don't sweat your nuts off - unless you ride in very arid areas.
Put mine in trash. With the other "wp/b" gear.
People rave about the event fabric, as used in Showers Pass garments. Don't know if this is because it works as claimed or because people like to validate expensive purchase decisions (sorta like rave reviews about $130 chris king headsets when $12 cane creek s2 work just as well when serviced annually).

I like my O2 jacket. I like it better then other jackets I have paid up to $80 for.
Note: Buy a size lager for more comfort/longer wear.

I tend to chill easily during wet rides, so try to stay as dry as possible.
The thin yellow 02 rain jacket is the best outer layer for rain I've ever owned. Mind you, it's not perfect, and it eventually lets a little water in if you're riding in a busy rain for more than an hour or so. But it's the only raingear I've ever had that doesn't drench me in my own sweat during long climbs. In cooler, unsettled weather I wear it continuously as my outer layer; handy in that I don't have to stop to change into or out of it in response to rain. The biggest drawback is it's fragile; I store it in a plastic ziploc bag in my pack to avoid tears and punctures. The light weight, comfort, and low price makes it worth it for me, though.
