How often do you (re)inflate your tires?

They somehow seem to lose pressure over time...

Usually, once a wek. Just a bit of extra pressure. I now use a Topeak Joe Blow pump - when using a normal pump without an psi indicator - I really had to pump every other day!

I check about once a week, and I give the tires a good, testing squeeze every morning. I moved from schrader to presta valves, and I haven't looked back!

Depends where I'm storing the bike at work, if the under floor heating is on full blast I loose pressure quicker.

Every morning. I find that they lose between 5% - 10% every day. If I start out at 88, they will usually be 80-85 by the next morning. And every morning thereafter.

I check and inflate (if necessary) each morning before I ride. I don't bother with checking in the afternoon, though.

I pump mine up when I change tires in the spring and then again in the Winter. They never need air besides that. It helps having 60 psi tires that are 1-3/4 wide!

Since this is in the commuting forum, it might not be a silly question. But it entirely depends on the type of tires you are using. My ultralight carbon road bike with the itty bitty skinny tires? Anytime I pass a pump! My steel commuter with the low pressure, high volume tires? Once a week.

every day on the way out of the garage...short of flatting I won't check again until the next morning.

Gotta keep it high, I have a long way to go!

I try to do it every morning. I've had much fewer pinch flats since I started doing that.

I don't worry about my MTB tires losing air as much as I do my road bike but I sure check the pressure a lot more than twice a year. I probably top them off every couple of weeks. Nothing seems to make me work harder than under inflated tires except a nasty headwind.

On my road bike (700x23 tires; 120 psi max) I pump up before every ride. On my commuter bike which has fatter tires (700x32) and lower pressure (75 psi max) I don't lose much pressure so I may check it only once or twice a week.

FWIW, I usually pump up the tires the night before a morning ride, and on my road bike about 5 psi more than I ride at the next morning. That way I don't actually lose time trying to check them the morning of the ride when I'm in a hurry and usually late...

Checking tires and inflating them are one and the same with Presta valves.

The only way I can check them is by hooking them up to floor pump. And if I do that, I'll lose some air just fastening the nozzle, so I might as well pump it up to the full 75lbs.

For this reason, I just test it with my thumb. It's far less accurate, but I do it every time I ride, so there's some semblance of consistency.

I used to check my tires once a month, but since I got a Presta bike, I check/inflate once a week.

The poll needs another choice or two. Twice/week and daily. Higher pressure tires can lose 10 lb in 2 days.

When the feeling hits me, usually every 2 or 3 days. I check them daily though

I pump mine up to 50 psi, they sag back to 40 over the next week, then they hold that for weeks on end. I tend not to pump them back up to 50 unless I notice myself bobbing while I'm pedalling, a hint that they're down around 20psi.

edit: my wife's schwinn also loses ~20% of its pressure over the 1st week after inflating, but for her 1" tires, going from 100 to 80 psi is a more drastic risk of pinchflats than my 2.0 tires going from 50 to 40.

+1 on this one. Since i run a rode bike with 700 23's I look at my pressure every time I leave the house. I usually add 5lbs or so most of the time.

check them daily, usually only need to add a few PSIs, I like to keep the road tires at 100 and the fat boys around 65-70. Anything less and I feel cheated

I go by feel while I'm riding. That is, do I feel abnormally slow when sprinting or climbing, or do the tires feel gushy? If so, I'll bring them back up to 120 psi before I head to work the next day.
