Best Bluetooth headset?
I commute on the Iron Horse Trail, so my 25 mile round trip has less than 1 mile of street travel. I make business calls on the trip, mostly listening to conference calls. I ride at a speed between 14-18 mph, but the wind picks up in the afternoon, and can be noisy.
I have a Jawbone Bluetooth headset, with 'military grade' noise reduction, which can't recognize my voice when I try to make a call while riding. Do any of you have a wireless headset which effectively hears commands and allows for conversation?

I have the Motorola S9, but I haven't tried actually making calls while riding (I've only used it for music). I'll try it out and let you know how it does. I have used it for calls while running, in the rain, and it worked just fine (according to the person on the other end).

I have no experience with Bluetooth headsets, nor do I think that riding with one is necessarily the best idea (though on MUPs or whatnot, it's not as bad), but the word 'round the gadget blogs is that you should take a look at the Cardo Scala 500.

i think the jawbone is a great pick for bluetooth while riding. anything with decent noise isolation will work better than nothing. for instance, the only bluetooth headset i can use on the bike is my blueant z9 with noise isolation.
to get voice recognition, it might depend on the phone. i can activate voice commands by pressing a button on the headset which triggers the phone to beep and listen. some of my phones, (especially the windows mobile ones) dont correctly handle the voice command button.

I have never nor will I ever ride with something going into my ears; you see I'm old fashion, I believe you need ALL your senses fully engaged to ride a bike safely...maybe that's why I'm old?
I did have a Motorola (can't remember the model) but it cost $70 at Costco, and everyone I talked to had a hard time understanding me so I took it back. Next I'm going try a similar costing Plantronics and see how that one works.
