carrying a 14x17 bristol board on a bike
so I have a 2-D design class this quarter that requires me to bring a 14x17" bristol board to class once a week. I can't fit it in my backpack. I've tried and tried and it's not happening. so what do I do now?

14x17 doesn't seem too large. can't you strap it to a rack or put it in an oversized pannier?

EDIT: it wouldn't fit in my locker with a rack on for that matter. whoever designed my bike locker didn't take racks into account, or apparently the fact that people might actually use their bikes for (gasp!) transportation.

Might want to look at this Thread I had the same problem(never found the best one)Because it was at a larger scale, 18x24
18"x24" pad of paper, How would you carry it?
11x14 isn't that bad at all you can find bags to fit that even.
Chrome Metropolis
You can even ride with the bad open.
Chrome also had nice back packs.
Or just a descent rack.
It should be pretty easy.
How long is the ride?

well I solved my problem today with a 19x14" messenger bag. never thought I'd ever own one of those but I need it. definitely less comfortable than my backpack but better than not riding at all.

thanks man, at my last job there was an obstacle to my cycling that I couldn't do anything about (boss required me to drive to the bank to do deposits, on my lunch break which was only 30 minutes and the bank was a 12-15 minute ride each way) ... so I am glad that at least I could find a way around this one.
