Anyone wanna give me some opinions on this 'deal' ?

https://redding.craigslist.org/bik/869256150.html

I'm looking around for something other than my Trek 7200 to ride.

yes, it's for my commuting.
I'm getting kinda annoyed with tmy current because of sitting in a less aggressive form. The wind kills me and well... I think I can do better.

ummm....I wouldn't. For a commuter I look for something that can take a beating. I need a bike that can bump off a sidewalk or hit a pothole and survive. I wouldn't trust that bike to survive those conditions just like I would race my Giant TranSend in a triathalon.

Does that bike even come with mounts for fenders and rack?

I don't think it's that good of a deal. That is a pretty out-of-date bike to spend close to a grand on. Tell us more about you and your commute and your carrying needs.

I agree with everyone else -- you can do better.

Have you thought about putting drop bars on the Trek? Maybe longer stem with less rise as well. That'd put you in a more aggressive position for a fraction of the price of a new bike. Unless you just want a reason to get a new bike...

This one might make a better commuter for the same $900, but still isn't what I'd consider a commuter bike:
https://redding.craigslist.org/bik/849687538.html

This one might be a little tall if the TT 57cm frame fits you, but it's half the price of the TT bike:
https://redding.craigslist.org/bik/838351296.html

Doesn't say if this one is a road or MTB GT, if you want to build from the frame up:
https://redding.craigslist.org/bik/833193257.html

This might be worth checking into for $150 if it fits and if it would work better than your current bike:

I guess I'm voting no on the TT bike, which doesn't mean it would be a bad choice for you, only you can decide what will work for you.

TT bike for commuting? I'd never do it. The First 2 links that 'tree bound' posted (right above me) are much better suited, and if you really want to, slap some clip on aero bars on either of those bikes.

I have a Trek 7100 and I suspect I understand why you are looking for another bike...
If you want something a bit lighter but still fairly sturdy, I would recommend looking for "chicabike" on ebay...

I have the Dawes Lightning sport which is very reasonable, and fairly sturdy as I am over the 3 dollar mark and haven't had any problems with the wheels...

pros: solid bike, steel frame has eyelets for racks and fenders, can take wider tires.

cons: it has 14 speeds, and uses indexed stem shifters rather than the brifters...
heavier than the LBS road bikes but much lighter than your 7200...

Its more like a touring bike and has lower end components but haven't had a problem with them in 1300 miles...

and it is less than what the 7200 cost you...
