Rush-hour at the daycare is when I really love biking my daughter in/out and not having to deal w/ all the heinous parking-like activities going on at drop-off/pick-up. I've never seen such bad parkers (they are bad drivers too but isn't everyone...) (at my son's grade school, they are also inattentive/hurried drivers, but at least the parking works better, a lot less diagonal parking across spaces, and more spots in general so less jockeying for position)

To the OP I don't know what to say, I like the idea of trying the ride out with your wife (scope out the best low-traffic route in advance) in hopes of her seeing it as do-able.
