Bungie corded to the rear rack. I have compact frames and water bottle mounts so the included lock mounts never fit.

In a pinch, I have also locked the u-lock around the handlebars. This is what I typically do if I have to run an errand in the middle of the day and I have to take the lock with me that I typically leave at work.

On my hybrid commuter-with-trimmings, I keep the lock on its on-guard bracket. Horrible, apparently, but it's been fine there. I mount it a little differently: the shackle is pointed down, and it's attached on the seat tube, with the lock behind, not inside the frame. So it snugs next to the seatstay. Maybe that keeps vibration down? I don't know. It's also a mini so perhaps that helps. I just lock the frame, and the wheels are secured with Pinhead skewers.

On the IRO fixie, I keep a Krypto Evo mini in my back pocket. And I hang it on the coathook by the front door so I don't forget!
