World Domination

I plan to take over the world with my next bike acquistion. I have chosen the Surly Travelers Check for this purpose. This plan came to me as I was preparing my charcoal for grilling somewhere between my second and third beer. Brew and grill smoke are just what I need for deep thinking. Of course, to finance this I need to sell the Suzuki in front of my dwelling. I chose the Travelers Check because I go all over the planet and I don't really dig on folders.

At least it's got horizontal drops, even if they are pointing the wrong way.

Richard

you were planning to fix it weren't you?

Plan almost thwarted

I almost subcumbed to the "I could get it right now instead of waiting two weeks for the mail syndrome". I was in a LBS and I almost order this:

I still have to put the order in for the Surly Travelers Check frame. The money is burning a whole in my wallet. I can't do it till tomorrow since the banks are closed for the holiday.

I'm currently seriously considering a folding cross frame. are there any others stock frames besides the travelers check and the ritchey breakaway. I noticed that the breakaway is 4" over the standard airline carry one baggage rules. SS couplers can fit within the airline minimum of 62 linear inches but i don't think the frame comes with a case. I was looking at bike charges last night and they are up to $175 each way.

They're facing the right way. Track ends face towards the rear.

World Domination on a circa $1,000 bike Puhleez! Show some respect for the World, get a bike in the $2,500 and up range. The cross-check would be Ok for dominating one large state or a moderate part of the USA.

they're on the correct way. track ends are silly because the chain doesn't loosen in that direction when taking the wheel off.

cross check and travelers check are really nice frames, IMO.
