High while you ride??
 

I'm going home from work and pull up behind this car at a light. There are 3 or 4 folks in the car and they have the rap music turned way up.

All off a sudden the guy in the back seat opens the door and this HUGE cloud of smoke comes out of the car and the breeze blows it back my way...Whoooo...it's a Mary Jane cloud formation!!

But I did get the whole thing on video as I'm still experimenting with the new video camera...priceless!

Reminds me of a ride home one evening on the Expressway.

Light turns red, I slow down and stop.
Car pulls up with two women in their thirties.
Both smoking some of the stinkiest cigars I have ever encountered.
AND, that was with the car windows rolled up!

It scares me to think of how bad it must have smelled inside.

i get wiffs of pot all the time on my way home sometimes several times on the 10 mile ride.

That reminds me of a ride with a friend one morning -
We were rolling down a quiet residential street in Roslindale, one of Boston's *cough* "transitional" neighborhoods - not bad, just not great either. A little frayed at the seams. At about 7:00 am, we went past a house that simply reeked of pot. I can only imagine the scene there the previous night!
Looking back, I wonder if it helped me climb the unanticipated hills later in the ride. ;)

It certainly smells a lot better then car fumes and dead animals. As a matter of fact it is my favorite smell that pops up out of thin air while I'm riding. It's especially nice when some of those MJ fumes enter my lungs before a ride. OOPS, have I sead too much?

Better high than drunk, IMHO. Or at least, not worse.

On a somewhat related note, I see that Michigan voters approved Ballot Initiative 1 Tuesday.

I'd rather see drivers with a blunt than a beer in their hand anyday. Stoners can stay in their own lane!

And Massachusetts voters approved Question 2 as well (decriminalization, but with civil penalties).

Only the good stuff does. I've ridden past some high schoolers having an after-school toke on the Sam. River Trail, and it was the stink nastiest skunky mersh I've even encountered.

Maybe I just got spoiled, having gone to Ohio U.

my favorite is when you can smell it like 3 blocks away, and then you see the guy standing there trying to look like he's not up to anything. :lol:

every day i ride past a guy who smokes up at the bus stop down the street from my house.

Drug dealing is about to become a cottage industry in my state.:(

but being de-criminalized means that a lot of the bad stuff that comes with it is going to fade away. you want to put organized crime out of business (on the pot front at least)? start selling lids at your local craft fair or through the mail.

Plenty of young kids die drunk driving they make the news at least once a week.
Now this?

sure, but underage drinking is illegal and yet doesn't stop the problem...

I apologize for doing a serious post. I just find it a little disconcerting.
