Installing Planet Bike Fenders
I just purchased some Planet Bike fenders for my Diamondback Menona '07. I had to go with the EZ fenders because I have disc brakes. I can't seem to get these to install. They are the 45mm, and fit great over my tires, but the fender stays are to short to reach the frame, even when pulled all the way out. Anyone else have similar difficulties? Anyone know a fender set that would fit?

I had the same prob. I rigged the back to attach to my rack. The front were ok, but could be better.

Thanks, the bike planet tech support actually said they won't fit. They recommended the Cascadia Fenders, but the spacers are only on the 29er and ATB versions. I'm on a hybrid bike. Anyone know of another brand that might offer compatible fenders?

The Cascadia 29ers come with Disc brake spacers, so they can clear. You can pick up the hardware kit and appropriate stays in the Small Parts area of their website. The SpeedEZ and Cascadia look to be cross compatible with each other as far as hardware goes.

FYI,I was using spacers before PB came out with the Cascadias. A good hardware store should carry longer M5 screws/bolts and nylon spacers or varying lengths. I think I spent like $5 on a handful of different sizes.

Planet bike "Full Hybrid/touring" fenders. The rods that attach them to the bike is 1 piece so you won't get the rattle that a lot of the other models have.

use Velo-Orange or Honjo fenders. the aluminum single stays work as well or better than the heavy double steel stays of many fenders. i used SKS full fenders before i switched to VO fenders (i ride a salsa la cruz with dsc brakes); now i have better coverage and no frontwheel fender shudder.
