Here's the current configuration of a bike I commute on when it's not wet, snowing, nor too hot. It's reasonably quick (compared to the folder) and very low maintenance. (compared to chain drive) I've added the Topeak BeamRack, which is svelte, but deceptively heavy. The conventionally mounted MTX rack is lighter and will carry more weight, but is less aero and more nerdy.

I do like the integrated rubber strap that came with this rack; it has come in handy a couple times already. In the 2nd photo below, you can see I have one saddle and a couple bottle cages strapped to it after I bought and installed a new saddle at the bike shop. I like that it's height-adjustable too; I can get it right down next to the tire if I want, or leave a bit of clearance for the rubber strap to wrap around the bottom of it. It has a good tail light mount, too.

That is a cool bike! It pains me to see the exposed chain knocking paint off of the frame. Treat yourself to a new lock and protect that paint, which is protecting the bike from rust.

Don't worry I retouched the small nicks with nail polish and rust proofed the frame with Jenolite

Got rid of the drop bars and clipless pedals on my Dahon. Now a much more relaxed ride which I usually ride 1-3 times a week if I feel like going a bit slower and more relaxed pace than my standard drop bar commuter.
