33 followers so far, we could still use some more volunteers to help update the status.

I wonder if the Custis should be included in the same group. I figure that would be useful since the trails connect, and it is the Custis that is the leg that is used by most to get into/out of the city.

It almost looks like people are doing that anyway. (There are references in the alerts to Rosslyn and Ballston by 66 which are references are to the Custis, I assume). The WOD actually goes south to Shirlington/4-mile run at the place it hits the Custis, which is a little east of East Falls Church Metro. It is the Custis that goes from that place by East Falls Church along 66 to Rosslyn/Roosevelt Island/Mount Vernon trail.

Perhaps the trails are used together so much that people just assume that anything about the W&OD would naturally be about the Custis too, but maybe it should be explicitly made so.

The updates have included the W&OD, Custis and MV trails, so we're pretty much all under one roof.

Hmm... this may be the first reason I have to twitter...

(actually, I never thought of bothering with Twitter until I read David Pogue's NYT column describing the demo that he did for a presentation about general knowledge and the Web; on stage, he "tweeted" a question about getting rid of hiccups, put it onscreen, and everyone watched as about thirty responses came in within a minute)

I've always believed the Interwebz were destined for a purpose higher than free adult entertainment and snarky forum arguments.

+1 -- I think that after free porn it's all downhill.

(actually, I don't think that we'd have easily downloadable images, animations, movies, and video conferencing if it weren't for porn... it drove the VCR industry in its infancy, too..)

(actually, I also tend to use parenthetical statements too often... and sometimes I forget that I used the word "actually" just a little bit ago)
