Be careful with zip-ties on computer sensor wires
Be careful with zip-ties on computer sensor wires. I learned this the hard way.
I posted a while back about my bicycle computer not working in the rain. I "fixed" it by covering the computer with a bag. I later switched to grease between the computer and the mount. On Friday, it quit working after I ran through a puddle (no rain, just runoff from melting snow).
I inspected the bike a bit closer after getting home, and where I zip-tied the wire to the fork, the zip-tie had cut into the insulation, and exposed a small amount of bare wire. When that small piece of wire got wet, the computer quit working.
So, be sure handlebar turning doesn't pull the wire, and make sure not to overtighten zip-ties.

Ouch that stinks. Glad you figured out the problem though, nothing is more frustrating to me than something that won't work right for no apparent reason.
