New route to work established.

It must be summer, there's no hair on my legs, and I'm commuting on a geared bike, my road bike, and OMG, can I fly! I am totally in awe of the speeds I can get out of the bike and my legs. So, in honor of getting the road bike out, and shaving my legs, I established a new route to work, took me 2:38 yesterday, a 41.5 mile circut (using my GPS, how accurate is that?). One of the cool parts of the route, apart from the new challenge and the scenery, was racing cars down hill and staying with them. I have to say aero clip ons are the bomb, with the wind I had yesterday, it was like a dream, especially when I get in that tuck, the legs just take over, and I go. I'd go faster if I could shed the messenger bag, but the weather is still cool at night and there is always rain in the forecast. So until the temps at night are above 50 I'm bringing my wind shirt and tights, along with dinner.

I just found a new way to go too. I just got back from driving it, and it's gorgeous. I think it's about 10 miles one way from town, but most of it is on the parkway and paved country roads, which are beautiful. I've been looking for a way to increase my milage but the only way i was thinking i could was to bike to town twice a day. This is much nicer. Awsome about your new route, and the road bike. Maybe I'll get some aero bars before I go on my next tour. I wouldn't mind having another way to ride so my hands to hurt. Have fun riding your new route. Peace.
