Trek 7100 or Marin Kentfield?

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums.

I'm looking to buy a new bike from my LBS and I am torn between two bikes in around the same price range and condition:

http://bikepedia.com/QuickBike/BikeS...7618&Type=bike
(has fenders and trunk thing that can hold a trunk bag)

and

http://bikepedia.com/QuickBike/BikeS...3447&Type=bike
(no real extras)

or go for $100 more and:

(no extras)

Which one would be the best bang for my buck?

Have you ridden all three? The first two will be pretty much identical in terms of ride, and all three will be fine for many purposes if you like to ride them.

Without any knowledge of what specifically you want out of a bike, you won't get much of an answer.

I'm using it to commute 6-10 miles per day 5-7 days a week. I'm looking for what will last the longest and ride well the longest I guess in terms of value.

They're all pretty much the same, just get whatever fits the best and is cheapest. Sounds like the Trek comes with rack/fenders, so that's a good bet if the price is the same as the Marin.

I have a Trek 7200 that I commute with in the non-winter weather, my commute is 16 miles round trip.
I've had no problem with the bike.
I have a MTB for my winter riding because of the abuse road salt, etc causes wanted to keep one of the bikes in better shape.
