Chariot side trailers:
http://www.chariotcarriers.com/engli...idecarrier.php I was thinking about switching to one sometime ago but the cost scared me off. |
Thanks to all for your kind replies and support, as always. Just a quick note here, the slicks are in a box waiting to be put on. One project at a time, people! Still getting over my injuries from the first few days of my eggbeaters (doing better with them now...).
The sidecar is aligned well front to back, but it tilts in. I just need to adjust the height of the tire on it and didn't have a big enough wrench to do it the other night. This weekend we'll put on the slicks and fix the tire height. Little munchkin fell asleep in there yesterday... score! AND the cost is worth it to avoid 2.5 hours a day of them SCREAMING!!! |

Sweet setup... got to remember that...

I was thinking about how you might love that set up, Noteon.
Those boys are only getting bigger... |
I put them both in the trailer last weekend, for probably the first time since winter started. If we hadn't had a funny conversation first about how little boys get bigger and it was gonna be SQUISHY IN THERE! I don't think it would have flown.
Separate compartments...that might work. Though pretty soon they'll have their own little bikes, so god knows what they'll be willing to put up with, trailerwise. |
Very cool.

K A! Mom!

You go, Girl! That's a great set up. Our twins are a year and a half now. I'll remember that for when the fighting starts (and it will.....) when they get bigger. What a great idea. Good job!

Man, before long your thighs are going to be bigger than your waist after riding that rig. Sweet set up though; I know the kids must get a kick out of seeing the town that way.

I used to tow my two daughters, three years apart in age, in a trailer. We pretty much did it for fun, not commuting. They had a lot of fun. They claimed that the bike went faster than the car. This illusion was formed, I'm sure from the facts that the trailer is low and has no suspension.

puddypie I checked out your blog after your first post. Really cool stuff! You are an inspiration for responsible living! I love the creativity you have been putting into the project.
