Schwalbe Marathon Supreme HD Cross/Hybrid Tire
Does anyone have any experience with these tires? They are expensive but look impressive on wet roads and puncture resistance. Any comments would be appreciated. It was suggested that I move this Thread here. Thank You.

I was just getting ready to pull the trigger on a set of 2.0 Supremes then saw the price and held off, but with some positive feedback I'll probably still get them.

interested as well. Currently I use gator skins and they are great, so I may stick with those. I have heard that schwable + tuffy tire liners +thorn proof specialized tubes =great combo. Fitting the tire may be a pain though.

I love my Schwalbe Supremes..... Great tire.

My experience:
My road bike has 28mm Gatorskins, I average 100 miles/week, and get a flat about every 5-600 miles over the past year.
Last fall I built a cyclocross/tour bike with 32mm Supremes. It has fenders, lights, rack, lower-gearing, so it is my foul-weather/mountain-touring bike, and I have been riding it through the winter since November and have never had a flat.
Last week I took my road bike out for the first century of the year, and had a flat.

For additional comments, there is another thread that discusses Marathon Supreme vs. Marathon Plus. The Supreme is constructed using the same tire compound as our top of the line racing tire, so it is designed to be sticky even on wet roads. The Supreme will not likely be as durable as some of the other Marathons for this reason but it will wear much better than the racing tire.
With regard to using Mr. Tuffys, I would be careful with this. If they are not installed perfectly, they can cause more issues than they solve with pinch flats and mounting problems.
You know what my opinion will be on the Marathon Supreme, so do your research, and buy the tire that makes sense for your application.

Confirmed. Twice I've been bombing a hill in the rain and had to get on the brakes. First time I got air under the rear tire. Bike stopped,no drama.

I ordered my Supremes the other day and can't wait for them to arrive. These Specialized stock tires are so spongy I just want them off my bike ASAP.

They're overpriced and a tad slow. Super high traction though, and comfortable.

Got the 32's. They are a comfortable tire and seem to want to "stick" on pavement, rather than "slide". Have not tried em on wet roads yet.
