Does the bike forums help your work day at the office? Are you at work?
:innocent: Ok, lets have it:innocent:
|
I have noticed a peak in activity during work hours on week days:)
|
um bike forums helps me to not do what i am supposed to do. but you know what i just love bikes and talking about them and thinking about them so the rest can wait lol.
|
Keeps me from boredom some days (today is one)
|
I rotate from work to BF and back again. Constantly thinking about issues I am trying to solve does not help me. What does help is momentarily distracting me and then the solution presents itself. Sort of like coming up with the solution to a problem in the bathroom or on a bike.
BF is my toilet. :p |
I visit once or twice a day at work; usually when I've got a 15-minute window between meetings or projects. I only go to 4 forums, though, so 15 min. is quite enough.
|
Who, me? I would never dream of visiting the forums during working hours...:innocent:
Not visiting the forums really does help make my day go by. Between this and all the other WEB sights I don't surf, it's a wonder I don't accomplish even more. I hate to see what would happen if I ever got busy again. Probably won't have too much to fear there, it doesn't look like we'll be picking up anytime soon. Sometimes this downturn business is not such a bad thing. |

of course it is good to be help desk and the company is closing (although the closing part isn't good). I bounce back and forth between news, sports, BF and job search. :thumb: |

OK, now I have the windows open:) It is so nice out today I have to control myself,,, my bike is looking at me! :( I need to get out of here,,, you guys help me think of something fast!
|
The doctor has told me I can't ride for 6 weeks, the forums is all I have.
You can bet it's helping get me through the day. |
I have lots of moments of down time through the day that are too short for writing or reading and too long to just sit and look at the wall. BF and Facebook give me something to keep my brain going.
|
I was confronted by a bike nazi this morning in my work building. The bike forum makes me feel so much better and I tend to forget about the bad things around here. Also looking at my bike makes me feel better.

Speaking of wasting time....er, being more productive at work, anybody else having trouble with the BF today? It keeps kicking me out and then seems to go down for a while. I'm sure the problem can't be on this end..:crash:
All my other time wasters...er, production enahncers seem to be working fine. |

Makes two of us. |
My rationalization is that my productivity is aided by mental health distractions of BF. But when I'm really jammed BF is the first page to go.
It is helpful as a distraction on days like yesterday where we had a layoff. |

[QUOTE=mechanicalron;8742527]6 WEEKS!!! Did you fall out of a tree? WTF?
That's how long it takes some injuries to heal - unless you aggravate them while they're healing. |

I am at a computer much of the day so it is easy and enjoyable for me to peruse BF and send a post if interested. I once likened it to going on a cruise:
