How much is this worth?

Rivendell Bleriot

It is selling for $799 but the bike shop guy says it could be sold for $1,500. But then why arent they selling it for that. I am contemplating picking it up if it is indeed worth that much more.

Is it new or used? What drivetrain Groupe?

Most important: does it fit?

Lugged steel frame
650B Wheels
A lot of style

They do sell for a lot. If it is your size, and you like it, it's a bargain. A friend of mine has one.

Riv generaly gets $1k for a bare frame. If it is in really good shape and has a nice Groupe thats probably a really good deal.

If it fits, that's a good deal. Maybe TOO good. This is a legit shop, I assume, and not some back alley deal, right?

If it's in your size, not stolen, and the shop is legit I would drop some cash on it in a hurry. I then would ride out of there like I stole it even if the components were so-so.

Well, if it was built up by Rivendell themselves, they would know what to stick on the bikes, I'd assume...

I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

The Shop got the frame from Rivendell and built the rest up themselves. I will get some more specs on it and get back to you guys and gals!
