10 miles. Usually around a half hour.

stringbreaker 04-27-09 07:58 PM

7.2 one way 40 -44 minutes in 25 to 35 minutes home. going in its always dark so I ride slower and riding home I always seem to be faster.

Sustained 27mph average over 11 minutes on a mountain bike? You should try out for some races!

bkrownd 04-27-09 08:50 PM

2-3 miles and 8-12 minutes

TheRealNicola 04-27-09 08:55 PM

5 miles there usually like 20-24 minutes. Back is like 45 minutes haha i'm in no rush to get home, I relax my butt uphills and have fun.

A bit over 5 miles and around 23 minutes coming in. I almost all MUP, and there are 2 or 3 intersections with the potential to waste 90-120 seconds each if you catch them wrong. If I caught all the signs It'd be under 20 probably. Big downhill at the start of the way in. I think it takes about 5 minutes longer on the way back, due to hills and it being the end of the day.

K&K_Dad 04-27-09 09:05 PM

1.5 miles one way usually around 10 minutes or so cuz I'm just in no hurry...

jag6780 04-27-09 09:18 PM

12.75 miles; about 55 minutes

buzzman 04-27-09 09:30 PM

10.2 miles each way. takes about 40 minutes on most days.

AlmostTrick 04-27-09 10:04 PM

12-13 miles each way depending on route, 40-60 minutes depending on conditions.

f4rrest 04-27-09 10:25 PM

10 miles / 30 min home, 10 miles / 35 minutes to work (don't want to break a sweat going in).

bedlam 04-27-09 10:34 PM

5 miles, approx 22 minutes, net 250' descent outbound, 5 miles, approx 26 minutes, net 250' climb coming back. Uphill both ways :)

Nighteyez 04-27-09 10:40 PM

2 miles home (take the bus to work) takes anywhere from 20 minutes to 38 minutes depending on how much wind I have to fight, and how tired I am. I can not pedal with my right leg, due to an auto accident in 1998, so my left leg does all the work. Only commute on the weekends, when the buses don't run late. That was on a Wal-Mart bought Mongoose XR-75 which I just returned so I could buy a KHS TC-150 so I will see if the times improve this weekend. :o

rydaddy 04-27-09 10:51 PM

15.8 miles. Flat as hell with several lights through downtown Sac. Headwinds are the norm. 50-60 minutes usually. Best time was in the 47 min range but I had everything going for me.

mustang1 04-27-09 11:12 PM

10.9 miles, 40 mins

pe2er 04-28-09 12:05 AM

22 Miles, about 1:25. Sometimes faster, sometimes slower, depending on wind (no hills here...) :)

steve2k 04-28-09 02:44 AM

6 miles to work - 28 minutes.
10 miles home - 45 minutes.

Both routes are pretty hilly and my average speed is around 12-13 mph.

relyt 04-28-09 03:16 AM

Between 1.5 and 2 miles depending on which building on campus I need to be in. Takes 10-15 minutes.

kk4df 04-28-09 03:18 AM

16.5 miles each way, and about 65 minutes. Several hill climbs near home, much flatter as I get closer to wor(along the river).

Jquest 04-28-09 04:16 AM

8 miles in about 27 minutes. Give or take a few depending on how traffic is.

evel_knievel34 04-28-09 05:50 AM

9mi, 28min +/- 1min

I ain't buying it, sorry. I ride MTB's.

hnsq 04-28-09 06:41 AM

12.5mi, 50 min to work, 40 min coming home (hills...)

RI_Swamp_Yankee 04-28-09 06:47 AM

Four miles. 15 minutes there, downhill, 25-30 minutes back, uphill... and there are some vicious hills along the way. They actually slow the ride when I have to go down 'em on the way to the station, because I have to ride the brakes or die in a firey wreck, and I'm still walking up 'em on the way back. I seriously need a triple crank.
