Today on the MUP
 

I'm about 75 feet behind a couple on the MUP, he's in front on the left, she's behind him sort of in the middle of the trail. I figure they won't be moving to the right so as I get ready to move right to pass them, I hear;

"He'll call On your left to pass you"

"But he's not on my left"

"Then you move left"


Her panicking;
"Oh God now what do I do?"


Me,

Ring my bell and pass on the right as she is swerving left (I slow way down and give her lots of room)

Him,

"Oh hell, I give up, I'm trying to teach her how to ride a bike, you want to give her a try?"

Me,
Laughing to the point of almost falling off my bike...

"No thanks, I've got enough troubles of my own"


Later I tell a commuting friend and he's laughing until almost tears,, now our greeting is; "But he's not on my left!"
