I tried searching on google to find out what model those were, but I couldn't find anything similar.

I have a similar looking pair I got in LBS for $15, but those could be a completely different model.

I got some at the register at a shop in Cambridge, MA near porter square last year for $10. gloves are expendable and will likely only last a season so don't spend too much on gloves. so long as they have some paddign and feel comfy. I wouldn't buy gloves on-line - gotta try them on ...

It depends on the model -- can't tell from that photo. PI makes some cheap gloves, and they make some nice gels that retail for around $35 a pair, and they look quite similar.

They are the gel ones, it on the wrist velcro. I have them, but don't recall the model name. I bought them last year on ebay and they are starting to get a little worn now. Pinky finger stitching is coming undone. Probably will replace at the end of summer. Worked fine and would buy them again. Totally worth 20 bucks.

reviews don't look so good - are gloves really this expendable that they have to be replaced every 6 months to a year?
I currently ride bare handed (on drop bars) and the only reason I'm considering gloves is because I lost a bunch of skin on the back of my hand in a crash a few weeks ago. If it's not an investment similar to a helmet (replace only if destroyed in a crash), I'd probably pass.
Craigslist isn't technically "on-line", right?

And yes, craigslist is "online" -- meaning, it ain't retail, and it's the buyer's job to know what they want and what they're willing to pay for it.

But like lil brown bat says, it's easy to go wrong with a product you did see in person too - hidden flaws and all that.
Of course, even many of the top brands sell the occasional product with hidden flaws that you just have to deal with if you have the misfortune to be a buyer.
