KHS Green, Schwinn Willy, or others?

I'm considering buying an upright commuting bike. Basically, all I"m looking for is something that can get to decent speeds, I can comfortably sit upright on a comfy seat, has a rack, chainguard, and fenders for rain.

I'm considering the:

KHS Green - $300 + tax

Schwinn Willy - $~300 + tax

Schwinn Coffee - $~250 + tax

the coffee is only a single-speed. I've been looking for the 3 speed model, but I can't find. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I'm also considering getting something off of CL, like a Schwinn Collegiate, and adding a modern rack, but the prices don't seem to be that much lower, and you don't get modern cranks or brakes.

Ride them all. If they all seem pretty comfortable, ask yourself:

Do I need gears?
Yes-> Green or Willy
No-> Coffee

Do I need 7 gears?
Yes-> Willy
No-> Green

If you can make out just fine with 3 gears, I would pick the Green with its IGH. I like the look of the Schwinn though, so the Caffine 3-spd might be the way to go if you can find it.

Green has coaster brakes. I saw it at a LBS last year for $150. I was about to buy it until I saw the coaster brake and decided against it.
