Sidi Police Issue MTB shoes

im prepping for the winter, trying to get as many summer deals as i can...
anyway, does anyone have any experience with the Sidi Police issue MTB? i was think that they would be good for commuting when its raining hard or really cold out. theyre probably more waterproof than my rampas...
on another note, since i plan on using these for cold weather commutes, would it be a good idea for me to up the size of the shoe by .5 or a whole shoe size in order to fit warmer socks?

nah, i have a change of shoes at work. i agree, they are ugly but they are pretty cheap too. is there something better out there that i should look into?
id like something that is somewhat weatherproof... i dont want cold feet to discourage a year round commute.

She's no beauty queen, but I'm guessing they'll get the job done. Sidi, IMHO, makes the best shoes on the market:
