How many minutes is your commute?

Ok, for this poll I only want to know how many minutes it takes you to commute. (One Way)
Yes, I know many factors go into it but this is strictly time based.
I've created a separate thread for mileage.

I think this will help others understand how much time it takes the "average" bicyclist to commuting.
Maybe, just maybe we'll get a sticky!

I'll start, 55 minutes, i hope to get this down to 40. We will see,

Only time, training and strength will be my hurdles....

Thanks all!

I usually allow about 35 - 40 minutes on the way in, and about 30 on the way home when I'm not worried about sweat.

90 minutes if there is little traffic. I work some odd shifts and if I head home or in to work during either rush hour, the time climbs to 120 minutes.

Dang NABRXX! That's a heck of a commute and heck of a commitment. For whatever your reason...salutes!

My commute is 14 miles to work and 16.5 or so home (I take different way). 60-65 minutes to work, longer going home. I almost never go straight home.

My commute is only about 15 minutes at the most (of course obeying all traffic laws ).

35-40mins. For some reason I find going into work is slower than going home. I guess I'm not a morning person.

jharte...I work at a university and do shift work. I have a locker room available with a shower and wear a uniform on duty. I also currently attend the university and am quite pleased that I have the room in my life for this commute. I started it last week....I feel GREAT. I'm 46 and wondered if it was doable in any case. I had been commuting on a motorcycle year round for years now, so I'm accustomed to weather issues during my commute. I will be coming in once a week on the motorcycle to transport a laptop, books as well as any civilian cloths I need for class. I want to do this year round if possible. I'm having a blast!!

On the way in, about 14 miles (13.7 to be exact!), and it takes me about 46-48 minutes most days. Going home takes longer by about 5 minutes due to the hill climb at the end, and probably because I"m tired from being at work, and because I stop once at a creek to look for turtles and snakes.

9 if I take it easy. 8.5 if I hustle. If I hit the traffic light right, maybe 8 flat

50 Minutes going to work and a little over an hour coming home. On the way home, I detour through a rural park. That slows me down, but also gives a great unwind riding among the trees and by the creek.

Started riding in on Fridays. 22 miles each way, pretty flat. Takes me around 1:15 - 1:20. Wind seems to be in my face both ways, can't figure it out! No shower room at work but I leave a change of clothes, washcloth, and towel and I just do a quick wipedown before changing in the handicap stall. Since I don't ride in every day, I can bring in fresh clothes on the days I drive.

1 hour 45 minutes (25 miles). I'm hoping to get that down, but with Atlanta traffic, I'm spending a full 15 minutes stuck in traffic or at red lights.

That's coming home. On the way to work it's basically just a 30 minute bus ride.

I started out at 1 hr, and have got it down to 40 minutes. I'm shooting for 35mins. I'm fairly new to riding a bike again though, so I'm working on my bike legs,

35 minutes door to door. I didn't count shower/changing time at the office or when I get home. Factor that in, and it's closer to 50-55 minutes. Still shorter than the hour it takes me to get to and from work riding Metro, and a hell of a lot more fun!

Mine's about 15 mins each way.

I've started to go home every lunch so I get 1 hour in per day (docs orders!).

7.5 miles with some moderate grades on the way there and 2 monster hills on the way back. I sweat more on this 7.5 mile commute than I did in Chicago on a 19 mile commute.
