This would make a nice STEALTH commuter

Check out where the rear caliper is positioned. Never seen that before. Anyone know what frame this is? Think the bike is too large for me and Besides I already have a commuter, but that is one nice ride.

btw, I don't know this seller, just found it and thought someone here may be interested.

No idea what kind of bike this is but in NYC this would be a steal for $250.

Looks sort of like a Cannondale Badboy Disc, but if I had to bet, I'd say it's a standard disc brake frame with a custom paint job.

Mongoose printed on the handlebars. Is the bike a mongoose?

MijnWraak 08-15-09 11:13 PM

yeah mongoose pedals as well. Guy probably bought from walmart, spray-painted it black, and put a deore derailleur and shifters on it to make it look pricey. I wouldn't buy it.

edit: well here's the bike http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Mo...09/5360039233/

In the states, only being sold by a shady company called "Performance Bicylce, Inc" The can't even spell Bicycle correctly.

edit2: I guess google was the one spelling their name wrong. Here's the link http://www.performancebike.com/bikes...00_20000_49000

I guess it could be an "okay" deal for $100 retail, but the seller should list that it is a mongoose bike and not try to lie to a buyer trying to convince them it's an expensive stealth bike like he/she did.

That's close to where I live but they spelled the area wrong. It's LOS FELIZ :)

Stealth? Just because its matte black? To me Stealth would be say a Cervelo carbon but with rust stickers and torn saddle on it. Maybe even some "Exclusively at Walmart" stickers to top it all of.

Let's just hope whoever buys it has more sense than to dress in matching black clothes and ride at night.

It's pretty common these days.

Yup. Look at most all the Gary Fishers also. Nice part of the design is that you don't need disc-specific racks.
