Hiya folks!

I am new to this Bikeforums website. Had a quick look around and looks very impressive! :)

Briefly about myself.

I am 26 years old and based in Southampton.

Anyway, the main reason I have started this new thread in the commuting area is because I enjoy my commuting whether I am cycling for leisure purposes, shopping or to work or things like that.

I would love to hear fromk you guys on your ways of cycling such as how far you cycle and what purpose.

Also, whats the cycle network like where you live?

welcome, im sure youll have fun, theres very diverse bunch here! right now i lurk this forum because im all for commuting when my bike arrives in the mail...my commute will incorporate 1 boat ride from Old San Juan to the bank area, then ride like 1.5 miles on my bike..by the way im from Puerto Rico.

This is a great resource for commuting info. I have been a bike commuter for 35 years, car free for the last 20, and still learn a new thing or two here.

I live in New Orleans, LA USA and have extensive miles here. I have also toured all over the USA (coast to coast once, "Mexico" to Canada four different routes), so I feel I can compare other places to NOLA pretty well.

1/3 of our population do not drive cars. Many of them bike to get where they need to go. 365 days of biking no prob, unless a hurricane is on us. We all wear our street/work clothes on our bikes. NOLA is probably the only city in the USA that makes you feel like you are in Europe and Jamaica at the same time.

I have loads of vidos of my rides in New Orleans online. My sigpic is the gateway.

Welcome to the funny farm. Lots of good info and mostly really nice folks that don't mind answering questions. There are no dumb questions from newbies or even oldies like me, well maybe not me. :)
