Helmet protects even if you don't fall down!
Was riding through the usual parkland path on the way home. A branch got closed to me (maybe I wasn't paying attention) and whipped my head! If it weren't for my helmet, I am sure I'd get a gash across my forehead! I better watch for that pesky branch in the future. :thumb:

Hehehe, helmets can be very good things. I appreciate the protection against flying bugs, some of which make quite loud clacks as they bounce of the helmet. ;)

Also protection from goose apples. Those things can hurt...

Yeah, I've had the helmet protect me from a few branches also. I just put my head down and pedal through.

I double dog dare you to go post this in the A and S forum. You would get inundated with scientific studies about how helmets offer no protection whatsoever, and how your anectdotal evidence is actually proof that there is no God.

double dog INFINITY.
My laundry facilities are in a separate very tiny room. Too small for me to stand up in all the way and the beams have an annoying habit of smacking me on the head. When I park my bike in there, I leave my helmet on when I'm in that room, saved my noggin from a beating quite a few times. I wish helmets were cheaper, I'd buy one just for that purpose, my mom could use it too. |
