Desert Rain (commute video)
My commute in the rain. Last rain commute was in April sometime. I logged in over 200 bike trips this year, so no its not that I never commute. Even today I chose to ride in the rain. I could have waited as the rain almost never lasts all day. I had to take a different way back since my normal commute was flooded.
One of the most amazing things about the commute is why I don't choose this route in the first place. A pedestrian/runner clueless enters a MUP with out looking and with headphones. She was also trespassing on a golf course to go over the lake. A car honks continuously and then runs the red light.
Note the lake is dry normally, and it should be only a very small creek.

**EDIT***
I was able to turn down the volume on the video now Headphone safe.

Great video.
Scared the bejesus out of me when the lady came out infront of you. Felt my survival instincts kick in.
Rain riding is nerve racking for me, being on the road in an area that people have little to no experience driving in would be rough.
As a heads up for anyone else using headphones that turns it up, the commute sounds kick in during video transitions, it's really loud compared to the rest.

Looks wet. ;-P
It rains all the time here, but not usually like that (w/ flooding, etc).
What kind of camera was that?? I'm assuming it's waterproof enough... does it get license plates if you try?? It was kinda hard to tell.
Oh and wtf was Ms.Karate-lady doin?! Practicing her high kick and her runinfrontofbike moves??? Yeesh

She is stepping over a fence. I think she was crossing the MUP as I never saw her come over the bridge.

Looks good! I'm surprised you Desert People don't take a holiday and go splash in some puddles when it rains! Here in New Orleans our once-a-decade snowfall shuts down the whole city.

Cool. Looks like you were on the MUP bridge over Osbourn. Love it, but the greenbelt does get flooded during these monsoons. I think that's why the greenbelt was created in the first place--to control flood run-off.

The simplicity of waking up everyday and having sunshine is addicting. Rain is good just go away already.
