No big deal, I've got fenders.

I was commuting on the MUP one time. There is a part that always floods when it rains. The water came up to the fork! I got halfway through and turned around.
|
I rode Saturday, but I won't be commuting until Wednesday.

I saw in the news where areas north of Atlanta had up to 15" over the weekend and Monday. We've had plenty of rain in western NC as well (it's raining right now) but nothing like that. I think it was Cobb Co. that showed water up to the rooftops and cars completely submerged. I really feel for those people, they lost everything.

In the piedmont hospital area at the base of cardiac hill sitting here praying the water doesn't rise another inch. It's literally at my door. Spent all evening moving the contents of my townhome upstairs. On the upside it will make things easier when moving to Boston in a few weeks. If the rain gets in I'm screwed as the new tenants will likely bail and I'll have a mortgage and rent. On topic I had to grab a ride home in a hurry when I saw peachtree creek at 15ft over flood stage. Neighbors closer to the creek are under water and some are floating out on canoes and kayaks.
