How many days do you commute ?
How many days do you commute?
How many days do you ride for the heck of it, meaning training or recreation (but not commuting)?
I'll start:
Commuting days: 5
Recreation/training: 0
Notes: my commuting days also double as my recreation (when I'm riding slow) or training (when I'm riding faster) days.

Riding like its 1990
3 days a week so far.
I still have things I need to take into work occasionally and days that have meetings after work etc. On the off days I lift weights.
Today I rode a 20 miler just for training/fitness. I hope to do a lot of MTB this winter

I commute to campus about twelve miles round trip three days a week, and I ride for general fitness/a chance to ride without a bag/have some fun about 20-30 miles three days a week.
I can't stop, it's great. (Down sixty-five pounds thanks to cycling and weight training!)

I usually commute 4 days. However for the next month or two I will only commute 3 since I am taking some time off.

5 days a week for the last 4 years. 21 miles round trip per day. No recreational riding at all, though I do ride on the weekends sometimes just to get somewhere (usually only a mile or two at a time).
My bike is about 5 years old and I just rolled it over 19000 miles yesterday.

4 days a week commuting.
3 or 4 days a week running errands.
I would commute 5 days but, I have a standing appointment Wednesday mornings.

I commute every work day. Most weeks I work four days, others three, five or six. But I always ride to work, every single workday--186 days to date in 2009.
When I can, I extend my commutes (usually inbound, sometimes both) for extra pleasure--usually Tuesdays and Saturdays, my first and last workdays of the week.
Off days are catch as catch can depending on how life (and the weather) works out. Since July it has been depressingly little, errands excepted. There's a shop ride (Mondays in-season, Tuesdays--a work day--off-season) that I do my best to catch. I've done very few club rides this year, and sadly, I can't remember the last off-day solo mosey. It's just the way things worked-out this year.

5 days a week. I've managed to increase it to 16 miles round trip maybe more on the days I have class at noon.
I try to get in at least one extra ride a week because there are several weekly informal "training" paced rides I enjoy, usually they're 30-50 miles. There are also a lot of small and large chill rides around which are relaxing.
When I'm stuck at home I like to take this 5 mile loop around the neighborhood to cool off from studying. I also weight train a few times a week and that gets in the way of extra riding because I don't want to over work myself those days.
I'm pretty happy with it. I get around 100 miles a week so I stay fit enough for most of the riding I want to do.

5 days a week for the last 1 1/2 yrs. I took December-February off last year because winters in Montana are a bit nip (-20). I usually take a good 20 mile ride on Saturday too. All in all about 100 miles/wk.

I commute all 5 days. I usually do a longer recreational ride on Sunday as well, which puts me at about 80 miles per week average, over a 6-day week.

Five days a week of commuting, plus ridng to restaurants, grocery stores, and sometimes the theater on weekends.
If I am at the shore for the weekend and ride from our hotel to the beach, is that commuting or recreation?

In the right lane
5 days a week for the past several years, 14 miles round trip. In winter, I may take a bus for the coldest of cold days, but that's pretty much it. I feel much better when I get some exercise. This year, I've been doing 6 days a week, since I volunteer at a bike co-op on Saturdays. That's a 10 mile round trip.

I try to commute on the bike four days a week, 34 miles round trip. When I only get in three days, then I usually do about 30 miles on Saturday for the fun of it. I've only been commuting since mid-May of this year.

Currently, averaging 3/week.
Weekend rides about 20-30 miles, but I'm hoping to move that up.

Generally commute 3 days/week. Would be 5, but Mondays and Fridays start with squadron PT (Physical Training) which doesn't leave me time to ride and still make it to the daily production meeting where I sit and wait my turn to say, "Nothing, Sir." Recreation riding is sporadic, but there is the occasional quick trip to the commissary.

I commute by bike every day I work, or about 225 days/year. I ride for fun whenever I have time, usually one long ride per weekend, sometimes two. About once a year, I'll do a week-long bike tour with my wife and kids (credit card style, not camping). I would estimate that I ride about 300 days per year. Most of my rides are not very long, though, typically in the 20-50 mile range.

I bike commute 3-4 days a week on average, about 22 miles round trip. I do longer recreational rides on the weekends, so over the course of a year about half my mileage is commuting and half rec rides. Usually I take at least one long bike trip each year, 200-400 miles over 3-6 days. My annual mileage ranges from 6,000 to 7,500 miles, half from commuting.
