Just picked up my Salsa La Cruz

First, thanks to all who helped offer up options. I had a lot to think about and am happy with the outcome. Especially, at the lowered price. I couldn't be happier.

I had to call to all the stores in Oregon. The closest in Washington for dealers is Seattle. Only one store had a 55cm and it was still in the box. I went in and picked it up in less than 24 hours after calling them.

It will take some getting used to, especially the wider bars. I can't wait to start dressing it up.

Thanks again!

Edit: I did get distracted by the shiney Cliff Bar team Chili Con Crosso with full Ultegra. Sexy.

Does the bar match your fit?

I'm unsure. I can just feel how wide it is compared to my Singlecross.

BTW, my La Cruz has a chrome/silver stem as apposed to the frame colored or black that I've seen. Just noticed that now. What gives?

Sounds like maybe you dropped in on Cyclepath?? That Cliff bar team was pretty sweet. I just they just ordered 20 of the la cruz's which is as much as they could get. This bike sells well here in the NW. I commute through the couv's as well, what is your route?

It was Cycle Path.

Mine is mostly downtown commuting. I end up going towards Felida occasionally as well.

Still trying to figure out why my stem is as it is.

That is a pretty cool shop. Enjoy the bike, I know others that have one and enjoy it.

The original orange stems were recalled early this year, the black were the replacements, My La Cruz does not look as pretty now.

Congrats on the purchase! I pick up my 55cm La Cruz this week and can't wait! Your stem is different due to the recal of the orange, steel, colored stem it was originally spec'd with. Salsa had an issue with the original stem's cracking, hence the recall. I replaced mine with a silver stem from Velo Orange

I swapped out the bars on mine for a set of 46cm Nitto Noodles that I had on another bike. The Salsa bars were TOO wide for me. Post some pics when your ready! Can't wait to seen them.
