Acceptable tire size on 08 OCR

I have an '08 Giant OCR that I have set up for commuting, with a rear rack, panniers and full fenders. On days like today, with dry roads, my 700x23 summer tires work just fine, but I'm concerned about the coming winter and want some wider tires.

Does anyone have any experience with mounting larger tires, like 28-35, on an OCR? Is there enough frame clearance? My fenders can be set quite high, so I don't think they will be a problem, but I'm concerned with fork and seat-stay gaps.

I run 700x28 Bontrager Race Lite Hardcase tires on a 2006 OCR, I bet 32s would fit also though have not tried it.

28s are probably all I would attempt with the dimensions of the OCR fork. 32's would probably start to rub or at least leave almost No room for dirt to get by.

A good compromise is a Schwalbe Marathon Racer 30. Its an excellent all around tire. Perfect for commuting and general recreational riding.
