And protect your lighting! I was in a "hurry" today and locked up to a church fence. A few minutes later, my taillight is gone!

Drivers aren't much of a concern, but in deference to other cyclists, it's easy enough to reach down, switch it to a dimmer mode, and nudge it downwards so it's not so direct.

I should clarify that I'm talking about the 140 with the O-ring mount -- you can re-aim it while riding and it'll stay put. The newer models with the screw mounts obviously can't do that.

OK so on the 5th i ordered my Dinotte 140L and i got it today the 7th man that is fast!!
This light is bright as hell, the 4 wheelers will see me for sure now.

The only problem i have is i ordered the light and Batteries with charger but they sent the one with out the Batteries and charger.
Sent an email lets see what they say on Monday.

A Dinotte is not overkill. If a light is necessary on a ride, a person should save up for one. Use a Superflash in the mean time.

Are there really different degrees of wanting to be seen?

I hate flashing/blinking lights... I find them annoying (i.e., as someone seeing them from behind — of course, if they were on the back of my bike [they're not], I couldn't care less).

Another vote for the Superflash, its awesome.

I have a dinotte amber light up front and love it... I think I'm going to splurge on the tail light in 2010 (and I live in a foggy zone too)

Suggestions?

I live in Sac and I use a CatEye 1100. It's as bright as you want it to be and has lots of mode choices. I've had people pull up beside me in their cars and ask me about my tail lites. I liked mine so much I got one for my wife and one for my daughter.
