Surly LHT - Kickstand?

I recently completed a Surly LHT upgrade project that included new shifters, a new rack, and a new Surly LHT frame (in the "Truckaccino" color scheme).

But I'm having a problem with my kickstand. On the old LHT, I was using a Greenfield rear-mounted kickstand.

But on the new LHT, the dropout lugs are different. They flare out a bit, just above the dropouts. Because of this, and the presence of the spare spoke hanger, I am unable to mount the Greenfield stand.

Questions:

1) Has anyone else encountered this problem with newer LHT's? If so, any workarounds?

2) Assuming the Greenfield is not an option, what about:

a) the Pletscher/Esge double kickstand?

b) the Pletscher Zoom kickstand?

c) the Pletscher Rear Multi Zoom kickstand?

I have used other models of double kick stands and I like them. They make the bike sturdy so it doesn't topple over - even in the wind.

Any kickstand that mounts near the bottom bracket will be a disappointment, no matter how cool or engineered or expensive it is. The BB is just a bad balance point for a bicycle. period.

If you carry a lot of stuff on your bike and have to load baskets or panniers, neither of these designs are good because the bike will topple when you are loading. For loading a bike, the absolute best design is the horseshoe stand. These were popular back when peoplel actually used bicycles to haul stuff around and you can still find them overseas. The very best are from Japan and are used on the mamacharo bicycles. Check out this load, then check out the horseshoe kickstand. You can't do this with any old kickstand, paartnaaa.

Pletscher/Esge double kickstand worked great for me, then I converted my LHT to a classic roadster and have not put a stand back on it yet!
