Beating weather .. show off your mods

Anyone have any major mods for battling crappy (read cold) weather besides standard stuff (e.g. tires, gloves, goggles) ? Thinking: adding windshields, etc. ?

I start growing my beard out in August or September every year in anticipation of cold winter weather.

I wear a long sleeve jersey.

I had played with the idea of getting a Zzipper fairing :
http://www.zzipper.com/

I am not sure which size I would need, not to mention the cost/benefit issues, not sure that I would get enough benefit to justify the cost.

1.Fenders
2. Balaclava.
3. Polyester base layer.
4. 100% wool socks.
5. Studded tires.

Nothing majour here: All pretty stock standard for cold rain and very infrequent snow...

booties
wool socks
microfleece base layers
grow a beard
maybe chemical toe warmers on 200k+ rides when it's below 35F

How about DIY studded tires? Images link to my photoset on flickr.

Just the basics also. Fenders, Merino wool blend base layer, and wool blend socks. However this year I bought a fleece lined bandana I wear around my neck and face (I look like a old west bank robber). I find it does a better job than my neoprene face mask keeping my glasses from fogging up.
