I'm proud of my first commute

I was feeling weird at first. Maybe even scared. But I filled my bag with tools change of clothes, and my all-time favorite body freshener, baby powder.

I started my commute at 10:07 pm and 23 minutes later I rode 3.3 mile thru my small city. It felt good to stop at red lights. Breathing the air while getting somewhere felt refreshing. I liked the feeling of not being enclosed while traveling.

I feel good I took a leap into biking.

Congrats, man! I know the feeling, as I got the same accomplished feeling that you did, and it bit hard. Keep it up!

Good for you! Now that you've got a day under your belt, build another goal such as: "I want to ride to work and back 5 days in a row."

Before you know it you'll be car-free!

Cheers

Cool!

The only difficulty that I've found on many of my evening commutes is enduring all the cooking aromas from the many restaurants and households all the way, and coming home to leftovers.

This is ALWAYS a problem here!
New Orleans has some very good places to eat, and I ride by a couple everyday!

I'm a tool junkie from when I repair my cars. So I have plenty of hand tools. Carry a 2 screw drivers, allen wrenches, and my victorinox utility knife. I still have to adjust my bike around.

I did it again. oohhh weeee. I'm happy it started out this way, at night, no congestion on the road. In the morning I deviatated from the main road to avoid cars. I transferred to a school closer to home just so that I can ride. In September I'll be ready for my 26 mile round trip.

Yes its a pretty good feeling. As long as the joy is not disturbed by a negligent motorist.

Best of luck to you!
