I believe they're 635 - and Schwalbe makes a good tire in the size.

The Guvnor comes equipped with 635mm rims and tyres which is a nod to it's retro origins... believe the other Pashley roadsters comes with 700c wheels as the tyre availability for 635's is slim.

How many teeth does the sprocket have? No mention of it anywhere...
I believe the 5 speed hub is the X-RD5(W), with drum break. The gearing ratio is 256%.

• Gear 1 - 62.5% (-)37.5%
• Gear 2 - 75% (-)25% (Gear 1 + 20%)
• Gear 3 - 100% Direct Drive (Gear 2 + 33%)
• Gear 4 - 133.3% (+)33.3% (Gear 3 + 33%)
• Gear 5 - 160% (+)60% (Gear 4 + 20%)

On the Sovereign models the front hub is the X-FDD with 2.4w dynamo (no powering a back light), and on the Classic it's the X-FD.

The Sovereign's front lamp is the Busch and Muller Lumotec Retro, without standlight. I think the rear Pannier light is currently the Busch and Muller Toplight Flat.

That's all I know.

No idea about the sprockets.

You guys are killing me. I really want to buy a guv'nor for my husband. I'm not even that nice to him most of the time. And he says he would never ride it -- he loves his Giant ATX and Martin Hawes bikes.

Not really, the OP would probably sweat less riding 8mph on his Marin or any other bike lighter than the Pashley.

He eventually decided it required electric assist. The weight and sweatiness were the issues.

https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...hlight=Pashley

More about it in other threads. I searched for username macteacher, keyword pashley. https://www.bikeforums.net/search.php?searchid=6386658

There's a reason why bikes such as this are popular only in cities where the terrain is dead flat and the average high temperature in July is only 73°F.

I'm selling my Pashley Roadster Sovereign 22.5"

This bike is in excellent condition, if not mint. No scratches. I have 9 bicycles, all cared for and all kept inside. I brought this baby from the UK but haven't ridden it much.

Give this classic a new home. $950
