I was reading a bike blog where this guy mentions having 26 zip ties on his bike.
I got to wondering how many zip ties others have on their bikes.
Mine has 33.

Is it just me or does it bug you when accessory manufacturers supply zip ties to attach their stuff? It seems so lazy. Can't they come up with a reusable way to accomplish the same thing?
I have four on my winter commuter but there was probably a dozen or more when I had the x-mas lights on a month ago.

Both fork blades have a few holding lighting wires on one side and speedometer wires on the other. The remaining ties hold the wires running back to the taillight, and a couple on the handlebars, holding some binder clips I use as cue sheet holders.

OP, I'm curious as to the distribution of your 33 zip ties. Where are they, what do they do? Pics?
I have 3, but I could easily see around 15 or so if you're using them on several accessories or routing wires like CliftonGK1 at post #10.

Damn. I was going to say six (four for the cadence and speed pickups and two for the Road Morph), then I remembered the wiring from the dynamo hub to the lights. That added another 14.
Ah! But on my roadie it's only the six.
And we're not counting O-rings and velcro straps (three DiNotte lights), right? … Right?

Let's clarify. Is the OP asking how many zip ties are in use or how many are carried on the bike in case they are needed?

Far too many. And they seem to be breeding!
Wiring for front dynamo light, wiring for rear dynamo light, two for rear fender, lots for connecting the basket to the rear rack, and more for the bicycle computer lead to the front wheel.

I also carry a few in case I drop my bike. I did that once and popped most off most of the ties holding the basket in place.

Best zip tie use ever: Ian Shopland's cracked rear hub on the 2009 Last Chance 1200k, ridden to the next control with a zip tie to keep the split from progressing.
