I like dreamin'...
I was throwing together my messenger bag for the ride to work that includes a stop for a meeting. The weather is cooling here, and I just realized that in a month or two the colors of the trees will start changing. This is an exciting time! Autumn. I day dream about riding beneath the canopy of colored leaves rolling along with that chill in the air, the aroma of hard wood fires from the hearths of the houses in the neighborhood.
I also dream of the acorns ripe and the squirrles dropping them on the path were they leave a mess, and hopefully not a puncture. I can't wait. I'm sick, summer hasn't even got started here in MN, and I'm pining away for commuting in the fall colors. Maybe this year I'll get my pic in the paper for commuting! |

:D As if the phsyco drivers around here weren't enough... *sigh* I've never gotten a puncture from an acorn though...should you get better tires? |

kamikaze birds reminds me of the kammikaze watermelon from "the demented cartoon movie" I think ebaumsworld has a copy of it....really the movie is undeniably them most ******** thing I ahv eever seen...but if you are bored and possibly drunk....you might get a good laugh out of it.
Yeah, I can see how birds flying at you would suck though. |
I am dreaming too.....of longer days and NO RAIN! ahh! our record this winter is about 5 or 6 days with no rain.....it's usually raining. I want to be able to go out and do 100km after school. :D

We've had a *very* mild summer here, so it's been wonderful. Our fall, though, is great. I originally hail from Central New York where the fall lasts perhaps all of a couple weeks (although it is strikingly beautiful there). I was shocked last year to have a few months of real, enjoyable autumn. The leaves stayed on the trees for what seemed like forever, and the weather was comfortable through the second week of November.
Because of a series of events beyond my control, I regretfully didn't bike commute an awful lot last year. This year will be different! On my ride home I'll just have to remember to stop ogling the colors and let the dog out! :D |
