Hey Minnesota, Farve can have my commuter for retirement

Now now,
Wisconsin told you so....

He's too old....

And the cane.

I was rooting for the Vikings and can't believe what he did.

The Vikings were the better team, but those fumbles killed them, followed by Farve's mistake. Looked like he could have easily ran for 5 or 10 yards instead of throwing such a pass.

I really wonder about his ability to run after his injuries and all those hits he took. He looked fine in the pocket but had signs of limping on his leg. Running out in the open field may not been the best of interest for Farve as that would have been a freebie hit for the Saints.

Yeah, bad decision and a tough loss. Wouldn't have gotten that far without him though. Since Peterson, Harvin, and Berrian all put it on the turf too I'm going to pin the blame on some New Orleans voodoo curse. Somebody in that city was sticking pins in Viking bobble heads during the game.

Good luck to the Saints the rest of the way.

His name should be pronounced IN-TER-CEP-TION.

I liked him with the Packers. Too many "retirements" and jerking teams around over the summers for me. Don't like him anymore. Glad the Saints won.

Like AzTallRider said, Geaux Saints!

Poor Archie...does he root for his kid or for his old team?
If it were me I'd say, "Sorry Peyton, you had yours, time for my Saints to get theirs!"

That was a heck of a game - best of the post-season as far as I'm concerned.

And anyone complaining about Minnesota's performance, I don't wanna hear it. My San Diego Chargers choked BIG TIME. At least MN put up one hell of a fight.

They choked less than the Broncos... At least they didn't go from 6-0 to 8-8.

If you ever need an example of a game that a team lost rather than the other winning, this was it. Double the yards, time of possession, first downs, etc. Should have won by a couple scores at least but alas...

And leave it to cheeseheads to be happier about a Viking loss than a packer win.

So true.

What we learned in Wisconsin watching Favre is that he can't play under pressure.
He plays for fun.

Cost us two chances to go to the super-b. He has the skill but lacks the judgement when all the chips are on the table.

Seasons over.

May Farve rest with Coach Horngreen.
Never cared for him either.

I thought about pointing that out (the misspelled name) but figured that taking pointless shots at sports figures is more effective if you can't spell words correctly.

Favre didn't lose that game and he did not choke. Yes he threw the int. but there's plenty of other blame to go around. 12 men in the huddle? You kidding me? After a time out? That wasn't Brett's fault. I want him back.

I certainly don't blame Favre for that loss. If he would have left the game after the ankle injury it would have been over right then and there. The guy was getting pounded and he kept the team moving in spite of all the hits he took and the drive killing fumbles. Yeah, he made a couple of critical mistakes too.

Oh well. Fact is we don't have a good alternative at QB like Green Bay did. If he wants to come back he's very welcome but I don't expect another year out of him like this one.

I agree, even though he made the bad play he played well enough to win the game. The 12 men in the huddle was a problem. So was the repeated fumbles. If I was the Viking GM, I'd want him back.

Seriously; anyone that actually thinks Favre lost that game either didn't watch it or is a kneejerk Favre-hater. The Vikings were actively trying to lose, and only just barely managed it.

Catch this fans take on the Viking loss. Sports fans are morons!

On the coin toss. The ref said to Hutch "what do you call?" and Hutch said "heads"...so far no biggie except.....when was the last time you heard a player call the toss before the coin was actually in the air? And on top of that, after the ref showed which side of the coin was heads and which was tails, you could see him turn it over in his hand right after Hutch called Heads. Dont you know 9 times out of 10 the face of the coin that is up before the flip, is usually the side that it lands on? There is no curse. The NFL doesnt want the Vikings in the Super Bowl because they're worried about their image and ratings.

It's all the NFL's fault!

It's incredible how often you hear the term it was fixed when one's team doesn't win. Pretty pathetic.
