Rain jacket

Ok last year I almost got J&G vented rain jacket but put it off. I'm still drying out from this afternoon's ride and thought I should have done this. They have a note saying it will be available in mid april. Much sadness. Is the company still ok? Any other suggestions for more immediate gratification rain jacket, that is bike specific, decent quality and near $100?

I ordered my J&G rain jacket in early Dec. no issues then. I love mine, it is worth the wait IMO.

I typed "J & G vented rain jacket" into Google and this link came up- I'm guessing it's what's being talked about:

I'm thinking of getting the breathable (mesh lined) jacket at
http://bicycleclothing.com/Waterproo...n-Jackets.html

I have the pants and they've worked out well.

Well, I have no suggestions based on experience. However, I took a look through Nashbar and Performance Bicycle and found some results that seem to fit your bill:

1. Bellwether Aqua-No Jacket - $69.97
2. GORE Bike Wear Cross II Jacket - $99.99
3. Pearl Izumi Slice Jacket - $99.99
4. Performance Ultra Rain Jacket - $74.99
5. Craft Bike Rain Jacket - $99.00
6. Louis Garneau Seattle Jacket - $109.99

+1. I've had this jacket pulled up on my computer for 2 days now, comparing it with everything under the sun. Plus, they have clyde sizes, so they are soon to receive my order as well! The historian posted about the waterproof nonbreathable one a couple of months ago in the clyde forum.
