Rixen and Kaul KLICKfix experience

Has anyone own or has anyone used KLICKfix? I am looking to buy a bag that could be easily transferred from one bike to another and it looks like Klickfix is the only solution available. It is not cheap, but adapters are made in Germany, which means some quality I assume. Anybody could say something before I invest my hard earned $$?

Thank you.

Ultima waterproof handlebar bag looks very cool, but I am not sure how does that adapter work

I have no experience with the attachment system, but I believe that Detours uses the same hardware. This bag is a bit cheaper than the one you linked to.

I've been thinking about ordering one of the Rixen and Kaul backpacks that mount to the seatpost, but it looks like they are only available in the EU for now...

Are you talking about these backpacks https://www.velofred.com/index.php?cPath=21_98

I think VeloFred has a lot of R&K stuff.

I had detour panniers, and they were not that good, inexpensive is true. I read some reviews on Ultima , people in EU like these bags a lot.

That's not the entire line, but yes, those were the one's I was referring to. Nice to know there is a Stateside source (and with free shipping). Never heard of VeloFred before, though.

VeloFred is a new company I think.. I did not hear much about them too. But it looks they are doing good job presenting EU brands in states. I saw link to veloFred.com on Ecovelo https://www.ecovelo.info/2010/03/04/z...er-saddle-bag/ People say they ship very fast. new companies always try to be better than old ones, then they become old I like the name VeloFred hah..

No experience, but you may want to cross post in the folding bikes section. Lots of folks down there have used kickflix since rack space is limited on smaller bikes.

Ortlieb uses a system that is very similar, if not the same, as the Klickfix. I've had both the Ortlieb and Rixen & Kaul systems and I can't really tell the difference. Both are rock solid mounts. Far more secure then the old wire mounts.
