Bike computer stops receiving signal
I have a Giant branded bike computer, it has no wires. Sometimes it stops receiving signal. It seems to be getting worse, and today stole 2km from me!!
Is this a symptom of dying batteries? z |
I would change the battery out. You will have to reset it for your wheel size.

Is this a symptom of dying batteries? z While I have a wired bike computer that does require a battery, a bike repair tech showed me how the data can be affected by dirt. |
My Cateye Wireless computer had problems when my Planet Bike head light was too close to the computer and the head light was set to flash. The solution was to put more distance between the 2 pieces of equipment.

- dying batteries
- your pickup is too far from the magnet - a light is interfering with the wireless signal |
Thanks for all the suggestions.
After trying a number of things I finally found the culprit. Inside the pit where the battery sits there is a small vertical bit of metal that is supposed to touch the side of the battery. It wasnt. I bent it in a bit and all working well. z |
