Video of my bike ride

Just made a little camera mount for my bike and made a short video cruising up the beach.

Man, I love the beginning of the ride where you're just passing every car and they're all stuck in traffic. Rockin.

Was the camera mounted on your helmet or your handlebars? And what was that pink beam in the beginning? An artifact?

That looked just miserable to me, riding between a parking lane and a barely moving traffic lane. Getting cut off, almost doored, no thank you. The whole video actually made me appreciate living somewhere with a population density nowhere near that of coastal CA.

Probably his handlebars, the camera looked about 4 ft off the ground. If it was on his helmet, he was either riding a 'bent or a child's tricycle.

I'm in the "looks fun" crowd. I don't see that many people or other bikes in a year of riding.

The song is "Young Folks" by Peter Bjorn and John. The road actually has a nice bike lane till the spot i started filming. The camera was mounted to my handlebars, heres a pic of the setup:

I don't either unless you count people in vehicles. I cannot believe the traffic in the first leg of the commute... loads of cars not going anywhere. Man!

I like how you don't need rules when traffic is slowed to a pedestrain level. Just need eye contact.

About the traffic, its not normally anything like that. It was a beautiful Saturday and that is the main artery to the beach parking lots.
